Origins in the Middle East
Rasasi Perfumes was established in United Arab Emirates in 1991. The company was founded by brothers Rakan and Ziad Rasasi, who came from a lineage of perfume experts based in the Middle East. Their grandfather was an acclaimed perfumer in his era, known for creating custom scents for royal families and elite clientele.
Inspired to carry on the family legacy, Rakan and Ziad sought to establish a modern perfume house that would bring the rich perfumery heritage of the region to the global stage. Based in the perfume capital of the Middle East – the UAE, Rasasi had direct access to raw ingredients, artisan perfumers, and connections to discerning Arab customers who valued fine fragrances.

At Rasasi Perfumes, perfume-making is considered an art form. Our master perfumers blend precious oils, extracts, and essences using time-honored traditions as well as modern innovations. We source oud, rose, saffron, agarwood and other prized ingredients to create oriental fragrances that evoke the mystical soul of Arabia.

In 2007, Rasasi launched its breakthrough fragrance for men – Hawas. This sensual, fresh aquatic perfume captured the imagination of consumers worldwide.

Hawas gained international fame when it was conferred the “Most Popular Perfume in the Middle East” award at The World Perfume Congress in Cannes, France in 2012. This global acclaim cemented Hawas as the signature scent of new generation Arabian men.
